SINGING LESSONS

  • We will aim to do a minimum of 2 live performances a year.

  • Jamming, songwriting - available and depending on ability and music goals.

One-on-one coaching at the beginner or intermediate levels for people of all ages.

Tuition

  • $20 per 30-minute lesson. (To be paid monthly - $80)

  • Tuition reserves the weekly time slot, and covers lessons, extra materials such as individually licensed sheet music, printing fees, teaching materials.  However, Tuition will not include the cost of books.

  • Lesson fees are to be paid monthly, starting at registration, followed by the first lesson of each month.

  • Books are to be paid at the lesson following the week that books have been received by the student.  Please contact me for additional info on required books. 

  • Cash, Cheque or Email Transfer will be accepted.

  • I will make payment adjustments in December and in June depending on the accurate number of lessons charged.

Make-Up Lesson Policy

  • Please notify me by phone or text as soon as possible if the student will miss a lesson for any reason, and I will schedule a make-up lesson.  This includes for missed lessons due to illness, vacation or severe weather.  If a student is not feeling well, please do not attend lesson.  With sufficient notification, a makeup lesson will be scheduled, and these will therefore not be reimbursed.

  • "No-Show” lessons for any reason including forgetfulness will not be reimbursed nor re-scheduled.  If notification of a missed lesson occurs after the lesson is to start, this will be counted as a "no-show", and also will not be reimbursed nor re-scheduled.

  • A maximum of 2 make up lessons per year will be given.  I will make certain exceptions on an individual basis, and/or due to severe weather conditions/school closures.

  • If I myself am unable to make a lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled.  If a make-up lesson is unable to be arranged, the lesson will be reimbursed.

 

Lesson Dates/Times/Locations

  • Lessons will start the first week of school in September, and continue to the end of the school year in June.

Instruments

  • Piano students must have access to a keyboard or piano for daily practice.

  • Guitar students must have access to a guitar for daily practice.

  • Singing students do not require an instrument, but it is helpful for practice.

Termination of Lessons

  • To withdraw from lessons, I will require a 2 week notification by phone or email.  Lessons will be given during those two weeks, and ongoing music projects completed with the student.  If you have concerns about the lessons, please speak to me to see if we can makes changes to the lessons to better meet the student's musical goals.

​

Covid

  • Any Required Public Health Directives including wearing masks and physical distancing will be followed.

  • In-person classes may shift to online-classes, if necessary and if the student has access to a computer/phone and internet.  Since online classes can't be offered during the school day, evening classes will be arranged.
